North Central High School Online PE: For scouts interested in taking online PE this year (Doge Patrol and older), I've been in touch with the NCHS PE teachers and have asked about the possibility of scouts enrolling in online PE who will also be attending Ransburg and/or Philmont. The PE teachers say that's possible, but that we need to submit a roster of which scouts are interested in taking online PE and they will make sure they are all enrolled in the same class with coach DeeAnn Ramey. Send me (Gary) an email if you'd like to be on the list.

Troop Families, Tonight: PLC at 6:30pm and 7:30pm Troop meeting
Thanks to all who showed up for Stanley's project. It was a great turnout with 44 volunteers and 200 service hours recorded. As with all Eagle Projects, things didn't turn out exactly as planned, and the team pivoted to make the best use of the resources at hand. In the end, a beautiful fence was constructed, and a mountain of dead honeysuckle was generated.

- The St Louis campout was a blast! Thanks to all who helped us pull it off.
- MEDICINE REMINDER: all scouts who take meds, need to give their medicine to the adult "Medical Officer" prior to departure from the Holt House. Any adult who is willing to take on this role can be a med officer, so it changes with every campout. But it's important that it's controlled by an adult. All medicine must be sent in the original bottle with a clear note to state dose and frequency and time of day for meds.

Troop Families, PLC at 6:30pm and Troop Meeting at 7:30pm.
- The Philmont Backpacking Prep trip was a great success. 11.5 miles hiked, streams crossed, freezing temps and rain endured. But also, beautiful scenery and great team work.
- Brian Moldt will be leading a series of hikes aimed at Hiking Merit Badge in March (and possible April). First one on the calendar is Saturday 3/30/24. RSVP if you are interested in joining.
- The March Campout reservations are closed. Email Gary if you need to make any changes. Don't forget to fill out a waiver here. NOTE: please try to arrive at the Holt House around 5:45, so that we can have a prompt departure Friday evening.
- We recommend that all scouts and adults have a "class B" Troop T-shirt and hoodie in addition to their "class A" uniform. This will allow us to easily identify our scouts at the City Museum and at other future camp outs. You can purchase them by following the "online payments" tab under "Menu", or the link below: https://www.troop133indy.com/paypal/pay After payment, we can get you shirt(s) from the closet in the Holt House. Be sure to WRITE YOUR NAME in your shirt (and all gear) so we can identify them in lost and found.
- If you are shopping for camping gear, a great online store is "Hiker Direct". They offer discounts to scouts, often of > 50% off. That's where all of our Troop Tents came from. They also sell sleeping bags, mattresses,... You need to create a login/password, then you can access their discount scout website: https://alpsmountaineering.com/what-is-hiker-direct
