2028: PHILMONT We have reservations for two crews at Philmont on 12-day treks. Arrival date is 7/14/28! There is still space to register, as we can have up to 24 people between the two crews. Let us know if you are interested!
Crews can be 8-12 people with the following restrictions: - Youth 14 yo or 13 and have completed 8th grade (Eagle Patrol and older will be eligible). First class and above. - Adults: at least 3 adults per crew, no more than 4. Must have more youth than adults - in 2024, we had two crews, so we will likely have that again - Strict BMI limits - ~$2,500/person (cost was $1,850 in 2024, but fees have gone up by $250)

We will need to sign up for 2028 Sea Base reservations which opens early January 2027. We typically have enough interest to fill the largest boat (20 capacity) over Washington Township spring break. Sea Exploring Adventure. https://seabaseha.org/adventure/sea-exploring/
We are also exploring moving the Sea Base adventure to summer 2028, or offering to adventures (either spring and summer, or two in summer). Summer boats tend to be smaller than spring, so we'll like need two boats if we move entirely to summer. More info to come.

Adult Training Opportunity - Winter 2027 Wood Badge
As we already know, camp isn’t just for scouts. : ) Come earn your Wood Badge in 2027! Wood Badge is the ultimate leadership adventure for Scouting adults. Over five days, you’ll dive into servant leadership, conflict resolution, team building, and project planning—all while sharing laughs, learning, being in nature, having a blast, and making lifelong friends. So far, we have FOUR adults from Holt House unit planning to attend: Nicole Williams, Keith Echternach, Jacob VanderHaeghen, Steve Zabel. And Louis Gordner will be part of the staff. Thanks for all who attended and assisted with our first ever Scout-O-Ween! Each pack registered ~30 visitors in RSVP. And we had 36 Troop youth and 29 Troop adults. > 100 visitors in all! A tremendous success, and special shout out to the youth leadership who organized and executed the event.
Mums: Sales are over! Thanks to all who participated. - 101/110 were sold in one week! 17 Troop youth earned money towards their scout account. P200 and P282 also benefited from the sales. Special thanks to Charlotte for leading

Three updates to note below: - Mums Flash Fundraiser this week! - Scout-O-Ween this week (RSVPs open) - November Backpacking RSVPs open. Please RSVP today if you know you are going. But aim for no later than Sunday 11/1 so that scouts can plan menus and rosters.
We received a surprise gift of 100 mums from a local commercial landscaper. They are bronze/orange in color, perfect for fall. Scouts are resourceful, thrifty, and conservation-minded, so we are having a flash fundraiser! All sales will go directly to the kids' "scout accounts", which they use to fund their scouting activities. Or funds can go towards unit general fund.
- Select "All Scouts" as a donation to be split across all the units. Select a Troop scout to have funds deposited in that scout's account. Select P200 or P282 to have funds deposited in Pack Unit account. - $5 each. - Let's try to sell them all this week! - Pick up can happen during Monday Troop meeting, Thursday Scout-O-Ween planning, Friday Scout-O-Ween (and possibly Tues/Wed during Pack meetings).

2028: PHILMONT Matt McNew put in a request for preferred dates (mid-late July 2028) for two crews at Philmont on 12-day treks. We should hear back in a couple of weeks.
Crews can be 8-12 people with the following restrictions: - Youth 14 yo or 13 and have completed 8th grade (Eagle Patrol and older will be eligible). First class and above. - Adults: at least 3 adults per crew, no more than 4. Must have more youth than adults - in 2024, we had two crews, so we will likely have that again - Strict BMI limits - ~$2,500/person (cost was $1,850 in 2024, but fees have gone up by $250)

2028 SEA BASE We will need to sign up for 2028 Sea Base reservations which opens early January 2027. We typically have enough interest to fill the largest boat (20 capacity) over Washington Township spring break. Sea Exploring Adventure. https://seabaseha.org/adventure/sea-exploring/
We are also exploring moving the Sea Base adventure to summer 2028, or offering to adventures (either spring and summer, or two in summer). Summer boats tend to be smaller than spring, so we'll like need two boats if we move entirely to summer. More info to come.
We will need soft commitments from youth and adults. - Youth: 12 years old at the start of adventure (Falcon Patrol and older will be eligible). First class and above. - Adults: 4 minimum (if both T133 and T1033 attend). - ~$2,500/person (cost was $1,940 in 2024, but fees have gone up by $250)
For all high adventure, we require youth to be First Class and above. Scholarships do exists for these High Adventures that can cover part of the cost.
